sad map frequently asked questions

3/24/2021

As property owners review their proposed operations assessment in the searchable Four Lakes Special Assessment District map we've received several common questions:
Picture
My parcel has the wrong name on it. What should I do?
Please contact your township assessor to correct the ownership information for the parcel.

I have more than one parcel in the same subdivision but under different names - why do both have an assessment?
Contact your township assessor and ask to get the properties under the same name then ask for documentation from the assessor demonstrating that the owner's name is corrected. Please send this documentation to FLTF. After receiving this we will change the assessment amount.

I received a note saying that engineers would edit the SAD map but it still says the same thing.
The map is not updated daily. Information on the pop-ups is updated every few weeks and the parcel lines/boundaries are updated every few months so you may not see changes immediately.

I have a waterfront lot and backlot in the same subdivision. The backlot appears to have a $50 assessment. Shouldn't it be $0?
Yes. If you think the SAD map is incorrect please email FLTF with your name, parcel ID and issue and we will send it to engineers to get it fixed.

I have more/less frontage than what the map says.
If you think your frontage factor is wrong, email FLTF with your name, parcel ID and issue and we will work with the engineers to get it fixed.
