Secord and Smallwood work sites suspended work at the end of October. The crews demobilized equipment as work was completed. FLTF will continue to monitor the three suspended dams with safety inspections. Sanford work will continue until the end of January. The crew will complete Phase 2 of the cofferdam before fully suspending work.
This will be our last construction update until construction restarts, hopefully in spring of 2025. We continue to work through the Michigan Court of Appeals case and hope crews can get back to work again in the spring/summer of 2025.

Download/view the June construction updates April was a productive month after the spring runoff came and went. At Secord, de-watering engineering, sheet pile driving, and remaining site work kept everyone busy. At Smallwood, auxiliary spillway construction and site preparation advanced. Most of the submittals for the auxiliary spillway materials and methods got approved for both sites. The construction of these spillways is a critical path for both projects and the trajectory for the summer construction looks bright.
