Second Bond Series Secured

FLTF secured the second bond series to fund the remainder of the project costs. The total borrowing was reduced by assessment payoffs, making the bond amount $80,285,000. The total assessment between the first and second bond issuance and net prepayments is $183,726,904, making us $33.9 million under our not-to-exceed amount of $217.7 million.

Shoreline Restoration Project Cost Share Program

FLTF has set aside $400,000 to assist property owners with natural shoreline project implementation on private property. Projects must be natural shoreline projects - seawall repair, seawall replacement and traditional riprap stabilization are not eligible. It is a cost-share program, making the property owner responsible for a portion of the funding. Click read more for more information and the project application.

Six Years of Restoration | A Letter From the President

Six years ago, Edenville Dam failed and Sanford Dam was overtopped. Secord and Smallwood lakes were ordered to be lowered. We have made unprecedented progress in restoring the dams and lakes. We are fully permitted, secured financing, and have a team in place to get this done. We are excited to see Sanford Lake back, now we continue to restore Secord, Smallwood, and Wixom Lakes.
