We're making progress on the open permitting issues shared in the January 18 webinar (part 303 - wetlands, part 301 - streams, endangered species, CLOMR). 1. A wetlands monitoring approach was developed and put in place and is currently under review as part of the permitting process. 2. An impact study of streams entering Wixom and Sanford lakes will be submitted shortly.
3. We are engaged with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) on the endangered Snuffbox Mussel. This will be a multi-month effort and we hope to keep it off the critical path of permitting. 4. In early March we'll meet with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and EGLE to discuss what is required for map revisions for flood insurance between Edenville and Sanford dams.
