Final Step Is Governor's Signature The Michigan Senate and House have been in negotiations, along with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's staff, to reconcile state budget supplemental appropriations. Members of the House Appropriations Committee convened last night and cleared a nearly $5 billion supplemental which included funding for the Four Lakes. We expect this supplemental will go to the House and Senate today for approval, and we expect the Governor to sign. We will keep you informed and will send out a communication once approved by both the House and Senate. This appropriation would have a very significant positive impact on the community and the lake ecosystems.
We are tracking the legislation, and hope to have news by tomorrow morning on the status of the appropriations and more details on what it means to our community. Comments are closed.
