As we mark the one-year anniversary of the rain event that changed the lake communities of Midland and Gladwin counties, we have a choice. We can look back and see a difficult time in our history, or we can see the tremendous resilience, renewal and collaboration that emerged as we brought our collective strengths together for recovery. This collaborative spirit has been and will continue to be the driving force that brings back the life we knew before the May 2020 disaster. With the commitment and passion of many talented individuals and groups, we will have safe and stable dams, stronger communities and a more sustainable future for everyone and for all our lakes.
Please take a few minutes to review our Restoration Path Forward, a comprehensive feasibility study that describes the plans for returning the lakes. The conclusions of this study will guide our activities and serve as a roadmap for bringing back our lakes. FLTF is confident the lakes will return to their natural beauty, and while the journey has just begun we know the future is promising. Comments are closed.
