FLTF has received the bid results for the final phase of the Edenville restoration project. These bids utilized the same approach as the Sanford restoration project did, dividing the work into smaller divisions to leverage local labor. These bid results are encouraging and provide an early indication of a possibility of cost savings on Edenville. In reviewing the bid results, keep in mind that the final phase of restoration construction is not the only cost to restore Edenville Dam as there is also the pull-ahead projects (Edenville Dam Cutoff Wall and Edenville Embankment Restoration), owner furnished equipment, site restoration, construction administration and quality assurance. The full cost estimate is available on page 6 of the construction cost increase summary, these bid results represent line 3 of the total cost estimate.
