Booth 3 | https://www.damsafety.org/public-safety
While all dams are potentially dangerous, low-head dams are especially dangerous because the water around them often appears tranquil and inviting. Each year, dozens of lives are lost at dams on America's waterway, and swimming, boating, and fishing account for the overwhelming majority of incidents in the United States. It is critically important to not only understand the scope of this danger but also be aware of the many ways you can keep yourself safe and avoid a tragedy. |
