Working with Spence Brothers as the construction manager on Sanford, we completed the final round of biding the project by breaking it down into divisions. The bids are located here. While we reduced the cost by almost $10 million from previously-rejected estimates, the total project cost is approximately $90 million. This is $20 million over our planning estimate in May of 2022.

The project team at Secord is preparing to install deep foundation elements at Secord Dam in the form of micropiles. These micropiles will consist of a steel pipe, grout and reinforcing steel bars.
Four Lakes Task Force has engaged a specialty contractor to install a soil-cement-bentonite (SCB) wall as a cutoff wall through the center of the existing earthen embankment at Edenville Dam.

As crews begin to work on the Tobacco spillway, public fishing access will close for the duration of construction. Fishing access at Secord and Smallwood dams will also remain closed due to active construction. We look forward to welcoming anglers back to the four lakes once the construction sites are complete.
