HOW DO I APPEAL THE ASSESSMENT?
The process for making, levying and collecting special assessments will be similar to the process set forth in the Michigan Drain Code of 1956, Act 40, as amended. Each property owner will receive notice of their assessment, an opportunity to participate in a public “Day of Review” and object, and have a right to appeal the final assessment following the approval of the assessment rolls by each of the county board of commissioners.

Donate today

Help us restore the lakes and dams so we can enjoy these precious resources once again. Contributions will go directly towards stabilizing the dams, controlling erosion, conducting engineering studies and designing and constructing the dams. The Patricia and David Kepler Foundation committed to match dollar-for-dollar individual contributions up to $5,000 until we raise $200,000 so your donation will have double the impact.
